About Us
Honest HVAC Care from Your North Georgia Neighbors
Discover Our Story
Georgia Home Heating & Air wasn’t built in a corporate boardroom. It was built on a decades-long friendship and a shared belief that North Atlanta families deserved better.
My name is Barrett Barnett, and for 20 years, I’ve been the guy under the house or in the attic making sure your family stays comfortable. I’m a family man; my wife Leslie and our two boys, Brody and Bo, are my world. But I knew that to build the kind of company I dreamed of, I needed the right partner.
That’s where Steve Beecham comes in. Steve has been a staple of the North Georgia business community for years. He literally wrote the book on putting people before profits. Together, we’ve combined my decades of technical ‘in-the-trenches’ experience with Steve’s legendary commitment to customer relationships. We don’t just want to be your HVAC company; we want to be the neighbors you trust for life.
Our Team:
Our team of certified technicians is experienced and passionate about what they do. We are a close-knit group of professionals who are dedicated to providing the best service possible. Each team member undergoes continuous training to stay updated with the latest HVAC tech and practices.
The Team Behind Georgia Home A/C
Georgia Home Heating & Air was founded by Barrett and Steve, two close friends with a shared vision: creating an HVAC company that focuses on hometown care.
Our Mission:
To provide North Georgia neighbors with high-caliber HVAC service that prioritizes honest work and fair pricing over corporate sales quotas.

Our Vision:
To be the most trusted independent team in the Atlanta area, proving that a local handshake still delivers the best value.

Our Team:
Led by Barrett and Steve, we are a crew of local experts who don’t send salespeople, we send certified technicians to get the job done right.

Better Service, Fairer Prices, and a Neighborhood Handshake
Most HVAC companies use sales scripts and ’emergency’ surcharges to pad the bill. We don’t. We built Georgia Home on a simple idea: treat your neighbors right, charge a fair price, and show up when you’re needed, no matter what the clock says.
- No Emergency Surcharges: Most companies see a late-night breakdown as a chance to charge you more. We don’t. Whether it’s 2:00 PM or 2:00 AM, our service call fee stays at $59. You shouldn't have to pay a "convenience fee" just to stay comfortable in your own home.
- Solving Problems, Not Hitting Quotas: We don’t use high-pressure sales scripts. If your upstairs is always 10 degrees hotter than your downstairs, we’ll talk to you about zoning systems and airflow, not just try to sell you a new $15,000 unit. We give you the same honest options we’d give our own families.
- Flexible Financing for Your Family: A broken AC is an unexpected stressor. We make it manageable with financing options like $169 a month or 12 months with zero interest. We handle the paperwork so you can focus on getting your home back to the right temperature.

Why don't you charge extra for "after-hours" or emergency calls?
Most companies use late-night breakdowns as a chance to hit customers with “surge pricing.” Barrett and Steve believe your comfort shouldn’t be a luxury based on the time of day. We keep our service call at a flat $59 because it’s the right way to treat a neighbor, whether it’s 2 PM or 2 AM.
Will I actually see Barrett or Steve at my home?
You’ll definitely see Barrett out in the field leading our installations, making sure the technical side is perfect, or at our office answering your call.
As for Steve? Well, hopefully you won’t see him with a wrench in his hand, trust us, you want the HVAC pro doing the work, not the relationship guy!
While we have a hand-picked team of expert technicians, Barrett and Steve are involved in every part of the business to ensure our “People-First” promise is kept. We aren’t an absentee corporate franchise; we’re a local team where the owners still have their boots on the ground and their names on the line.
What does "Hometown Service" actually mean for my repair?
To us, it means accountability. Barrett has called North Atlanta home for over 20 years and is raising his boys, Brody and Baylor, right here in our community. We aren’t going anywhere. “Hometown Service” means we provide the kind of honest work we can stand behind when we see you at the local grocery store or ballfield.
Do you use "sales technicians" who work on commission?
No. That is the “Big Company” model we specifically avoided. Our team is paid to fix your problem, not to sell you a new unit you don’t need. Whether it’s suggesting a zoning system for a hot upstairs room or a simple part replacement, our advice is based on what’s best for your home and budget, not a sales quota.
